Red, White, Below the Belt

Red, white, below the belt,
A darker hour you ever felt,
More damage than ever dealt,
Who sold you out?

Black and blue and in your face,
Made it all about your race,
Bad blood you can't erase,
Can't wash it out.

Yeah, I know, you're president.
Ain't much of a precedent.
Not with all the hate you sent,
Around the world...

Yeah, you know it's coming home,
The words you say you got to own,
What you reap they say you sown,
You've got to deal with it.

I wrote this song because I also love my country,
but I can't stand for the malice, deceit, and overwhelming poor judgement of our 45th president.

The Trump era is a moral test for America.  His racist rhetoric drives us apart, and I don't think you can sit this one out.

So, if there are good people on both sides, let it be known that I'm on the side without the goddamn white supremicists.

Red, white, below the belt,
Why you hate me so bad?
Why you hit me so hard?
We was family
Red, white, below the belt
Why you hit me so hard?
You bloody knifed me,
Red, white, below the belt
Below the belt
